Things have been crazy here for a little while...to say the least! I literally flew into town today just in time to make it for work. Parking as close as I could, shoving some change into the parking meter and running for the entrance...stopping only as I got there to tuck in a few strays pieces of hair and smooth the wrinkles out of my pink cotton shirt. I was glad for two reasons! One, I had made it just in time, and two air conditioning! But as I walked in, the last of those appeared to not be in the cards. The air conditioning at W.A.W Library is broken; hence why I have a fan blowing directly on me and why our usually patron count is even lower than usual!
I was out of town over the weekend because my brother got really really sick and had to be admitted to the E.R. on Thursday night. because he could hardly swallow and was throwing up blood (gross I know). Then, after going to the doctor on Friday, he continued to get worse. To top it off, there were other family things going on and of course there is the new, not-so-potty-trained dog! So after listening to the message from my mother and talking it out with her... I was on my way to Ark City as it was requested. I don't know if I helped out as much as wanted in the long run... but I did keep the littlest brother occupied and got to meet (and work on potty control) the new puppy (who's name is Rebel)!
I woke up bright and early to come back this morning... and time would not have been an issue had I not gone through Mc Donald's ( a fast-food restaurant that is becoming notorious for it's mistakes and slow service) assuming I could get food quickly...and then having many run-in's with cops who were out to get everyone today! Then, in the very end, because of one cop, I missed my turn and had to a bit out of my way to find a place to turn around! It was all very much an annoyance, but such is life! The car ride was about 2 and a half hours long and I actually enjoy it because I love listening to music and just being alone to think!
The only thing I have is that my send out date will be on the 16th of August... I am wanting my two friends/family to go with me for good luck! What could be better luck?! Other than that, I have been working on publishing stuff and also adding bits and pieces to my novel. But right now I am off to work, work work!
